Founded in 2004 by a left-handed Virgo who couldn't find what he wanted via the usual retail channels (and who happened to major in Art History and Biology back in the day), Manhattan Clean Line specializes in creating unique and clever furniture solutions for cramped New York apartments. If you know what you want, we can make it for you. If you don't know what you want (furniture-wise - we don't offer Life Coaching), we can design something together. If you want something that you've seen on the site, all the easier.

We try to incorporate classical proportions and a modern sensibility, while respecting the nature of the materials (no custom, injection-molded plastic here). Whether a rough slab of walnut or a new length of pipe, the material is championed for its own intrinsic qualities. Our work is "industrial" - but not soulless.
